Update Channels

Use the installed Mac app to check for a Channels update. The updater downloads an available update before asking you to restart.

Check for updates

  1. Open Socra Channels → Check for Updates… from the macOS menu bar.
  2. Review the update status. Select Check for updates if a check has not started.
  3. When the update is ready, select Restart now.

Choose Later if you need to continue before restarting. The running version remains available until you install the update.

Verify the update

After Channels reopens, return to Check for Updates… and review the status. A download still in progress has not finished installing.

Recover from an update failure

If an error appears, preserve its text and retry the check. Your current version remains available if the update cannot complete. If the problem continues, contact Socra support with your macOS version and the error text.

Windows preview

The unsigned Windows preview does not receive automatic updates yet. Download newer Windows previews from the Channels setup guide.
