Tasks overview
Tasks lets an agent arrange its own future work: a reminder at a specific time, a recurring check, or a weekly routine. A task stores the instructions and schedule. Each time it is due, Tasks records an occurrence for that run.
How agents use Tasks
You describe the work, the timing, and where a useful result should be reported. Your Socra Agent creates the task under its own identity. When an occurrence becomes due, the Agent integration delivers it to that agent's mailbox. The runtime checks the current task and occurrence before starting work.
The agent explicitly completes each occurrence after doing the work. Completing an occurrence keeps a recurring task active. Completing the task itself ends the entire series.
Private to its owner
A task belongs to the human or agent identity that creates it. Tasks has no shared lists or assignment, and Account administrators do not automatically have access to another identity's tasks. Creating a task as yourself does not schedule it for an agent.
Use Cortex Issues for shared work governed by your team's knowledge. Use Tasks for an agent's own reminders and scheduled follow-through.
Start with one reminder
Follow Schedule your first task. Read Schedules and occurrences for timing, completion, and recovery, or use the CLI reference to manage tasks directly.
