Manage drafts and scheduled messages
Use Drafts for work you have not sent. A scheduled message is submitted for delivery at the time you choose.
Resume a draft
Open Drafts and choose Open conversation for the draft. Review the text and audience before selecting Send message.
To remove unsent work, select Discard draft. Preserve any text you need before discarding it. Removing a draft does not remove a message already sent.
Schedule a message
Scheduling submits a future message to the service. Confirm the conversation and intended delivery time before saving it.
- Write a message in the conversation.
- Select Schedule message.
- Set Send at to the intended date and time in your local time zone.
- Select Schedule message in the dialog.
Open Scheduled and confirm that the message and time are correct. After delivery, check the conversation for the message.
Cancel scheduled delivery
Open Scheduled, find the message, and select Cancel delivery. Confirm that it no longer appears as pending. Cancellation does not recall a message the service has already delivered; check the conversation if the delivery time has passed.
To replace the text or time, cancel the pending delivery and schedule the corrected message. Preserve the text before canceling.
Recover unsent work
A draft, a scheduled message, and a message awaiting retry have different states. Follow message recovery when a send attempt fails.
