Start your first Socra

Start a Socra to work through one problem with an AI mind. This guide takes you from opening Journeys to reading and continuing a conversation.

Before you start

You need a Socra Account with access to Journeys. Open the Journeys app and select your Account. If you cannot open it, ask an Account owner to check your product access.

Choose a Space where you can create work. Check the intended audience before you send information. Published Socras and messages are visible according to their access settings.

Send your first question

Select New Socra.
Enter one problem or decision in the Message input, which shows Write an update…. Include the information the mind needs to help you.
Check that a mind is selected for the message. If the control shows No AI, open it and choose a mind.
Select Send.

For example: “I need to recommend whether a client should bring 3D printing in-house. They produce small batches and have limited staff. What information do we need before comparing the options?”

Sending publishes your input and starts the conversation. An unsent draft does not start AI work.

Verify the conversation

Confirm that your message appears in the Socra. Read the mind's response when it arrives. If the response rests on an incorrect assumption, add the missing context in a follow-up message.

If sending fails, keep your text and check the connection before trying again. See troubleshooting if the message or response does not appear.

Continue your work

Return to the Socra to continue the same question. Create another Socra for a different problem. When several Socras contribute to one goal, use a Journey to organize them.
