Add and verify a domain

Add a domain to the selected Account, publish its DNS TXT record, and verify ownership.

Before you start

You must be an Account owner and have permission to change DNS records for the domain.

Start verification

  1. Open Domains → Domains.
  2. Select Add domain.
  3. Enter the root domain, such as example.com.
  4. Select Start verification.

Admin creates the Account Domain with the status Pending verification and opens its detail page.

Publish the DNS record

Copy the Type, Name, and Value shown under Verification record into your DNS provider. Publish the record exactly as shown. DNS changes can take time to become available through public resolvers.

Verify ownership

Select Verify DNS. When the Domain service finds the TXT record, the status changes to Verified and Admin records the verification date.

Delete a domain

An Account owner can delete a domain only when no hostnames claim it. Open the domain, select Delete, and confirm. Remove or move every claimed hostname before retrying if the service rejects the deletion.
