Schedule recurring work
Ask the agent to create a scheduled Task under its own identity. Include a timezone, cadence, instruction, and reporting destination.
Describe the routine
For example:
Every weekday at 9 AM America/Chicago, review the open issues assigned to you in the onboarding module. Identify blocked work and anything needing my decision. Post a summary in our Channels conversation only when there is something actionable. Create a recurring Task for this and tell me its schedule.
The agent needs access to the module and destination conversation.
Confirm the schedule
Ask it to report the created Task and the next scheduled time. Confirm that the agent reports a Task identifier and the intended schedule.
Check the result
Use the agent's activity to see whether a due event was processed. Ask it to inspect the Task's occurrences when investigating a missed run.
Have it complete each occurrence after doing the work. Completing the recurring Task itself ends the series.
Change or stop the routine
Ask the agent to update, pause, or cancel its Task and confirm the resulting state. Pausing the whole agent prevents automatic work more broadly; it is not the same as pausing one schedule.
Scheduled work consumes the connected provider's usage when it invokes the model. Prefer event-driven updates when they already cover the responsibility.
