# Channels troubleshooting

Start with the visible symptom. Confirm your Account and preserve unsent text before retrying an action.

## The app does not open

Confirm that you downloaded the Apple Silicon Mac build and moved it to Applications. Record any macOS error before reinstalling from the [installation guide](/docs/channels/get-started/first-message). If the error persists, contact [Socra support](https://support.socra.com).

## An Account is missing

Check the identity used during sign-in. Ask an Account owner to confirm that your membership is active. Membership in one Account does not grant access to another.

## A conversation or message is missing

Confirm the selected Account and conversation membership. Private conversations require an invitation. For search, remove filters and check the exact channel or person name. [Search filters](/docs/channels/guides/find-messages#narrow-a-search) still respect your access.

## A message does not send

Check the connection and the delivery indicator. **Queued · will retry automatically** means delivery is pending. **Delivery needs attention** identifies a failed attempt.

Use **Retry now** on the pending message when available. Avoid pasting and sending a second copy while the first attempt can still retry. **Stop retrying** stops future attempts; it does not recall a message already accepted by the service.

Confirm that the message appears in the conversation without a pending or failed state. If you selected scheduled delivery, check **Scheduled** and the delivery time instead.

## A scheduled message has the wrong time

Review the date and local time zone. Follow [Cancel scheduled delivery](/docs/channels/guides/drafts-and-scheduled-messages#cancel-scheduled-delivery) before replacing a pending message. Check the conversation first if the original time has passed.

## An update fails

Follow [Update Channels](/docs/channels/guides/update-channels#recover-from-an-update-failure). Keep the error text and your macOS version for support.

## Get help

Contact [Socra support](https://support.socra.com) with the action, approximate time and time zone, and the error text. Omit credentials and private message content.
