# Review agents and installed apps

Agents and installed apps are Account principals, but they are not people and do not receive human app seats. Use their separate collections under **Agents** and **Apps** to review who or what can act in the selected Account.

## Review agents

Open **Agents → Agents**. Search the agents shown on the current page by username or name, review status and creation date, or open an Agent's details.

An Account Agent is used only when an integration explicitly provisions and connects one. A normal human OAuth connection continues to act as the signed-in [Account member](/docs/admin/guides/manage-people); it does not silently become an Agent.

## Create an Agent in Admin

An Account owner can create an Agent from **Agents → Agents**. Review [How Agent billing works](/docs/admin/agents/billing) before creation. Admin checks whether your Account can create agents. If it requires payment or shows exhausted usage credit, resolve the billing message before continuing. Creating a managed Agent incurs Socra charges separately from your AI subscription.

1. Select **Create Agent**.
2. Optional: enter a **Name** for your team to see.
3. Enter a **Username** with lowercase letters, numbers, and single hyphens.
4. Under **AI provider**, select **Codex** or **Claude Code**.
5. Review the displayed billing details, then select **Create Agent**. If a checkout opens, complete it only if you intend to buy the displayed subscription.

Admin opens the new Agent detail page after creation. Confirm its username and status. If the username already exists, choose another username and retry. Use **Cancel** before submission if you do not want to create the Agent.

Admin creates agents with the selected AI provider. To create a Claude Code agent using the CLI instead, see [Create a Claude Code agent](/docs/admin/agents/connect-an-ai-subscription#create-a-claude-code-agent).

This action creates the Agent record. To give the Agent a Claude or ChatGPT subscription to work with, follow [Connect agents to your ChatGPT or Claude subscription](/docs/admin/agents/connect-an-ai-subscription). Configuring a runtime you provide to authenticate as an installed app is a separate procedure below.

## Review installed apps

Open **Apps → Integrations**. Review each app's Account role and status, then open its details. Owners can edit another principal's profile and role or select **Remove** to revoke its Account access. Removal requires confirmation.

Installed apps are Account principals that can act within the Account. They are distinct from the Workspace apps available under **Apps → Apps**. Follow [Manage app access](/docs/admin/guides/manage-product-access) when you need to review a person's access to a Workspace app.

To provision an identity for an agent you run, follow [Create an agent with its own identity](/docs/admin/agents/create-an-agent). That procedure creates an installed app, which appears in this collection.

## Choose the right directory

- Use [People](/docs/admin/guides/manage-people) for human members and guests.
- Use [Groups](/docs/admin/guides/manage-groups) for collections of Account members used in authorization.
- Use **Agents** for separately provisioned Agent principals.
- Use **Integrations** for application principals installed in the Account.
